DON'T SPY ON ME

Flock Camera Map: Find the Cameras Near You

Every Flock Safety license plate camera volunteers have documented, on one searchable map — so you know what's watching before you drive past it.

Where are Flock cameras located?

Automated license plate readers (ALPR) from vendors like Flock Safety, Rekor, Motorola/Vigilant, and Genetec have become common on streets, in neighborhoods, and at intersections across the country, but no government agency publishes a single, complete list of where they are. Volunteers have been closing that gap directly inside OpenStreetMap, tagging camera hardware the same way they'd tag a fire hydrant or a bike lane. FlockScanner doesn't run its own camera database — it reads that same open, community-maintained dataset every night and republishes it as a map you can explore and state-by-state pages search engines can actually index.

FlockScanner doesn't run its own submission system, and it doesn't independently verify any camera's location — every marker traces back to an OpenStreetMap edit, refreshed on a nightly sync. If you want to add or correct a camera, that happens directly on OpenStreetMap; see report a camera. For the legal side of all this — what courts have said about license plate tracking, and which states actually regulate it — see our articles.

What that actually means

A license plate camera does not check whether you did anything wrong. It records the plate, the time, the place, and a description of the car — every car, every time — and keeps it in a database that other agencies can search later.
